ONE YEAR OF BLOGGING

November 25, 2015

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you. A year ago ( November 16th ) I had uploaded my very first post onto Katria Belrose, and what a year it has been. 2015 has flashed by and entering the blogging community has opened many doors. I have met some wonderful individuals, had the amazing opportunity to work with a few companies and witness large collections of writers, designers, and creators all contributing to the blogsphere. If you have read my blog over the past year I couldn't thank you enough.

SPRINKLE OF INSPIRATION

October 30, 2015

Good afternoon, I hope you're all well. Today I wanted to pop by with a quick post and share some lovely inspiration with you. ( I have made a similar post which you can read here ). From dashes of shimmering sparkle, fur and home décor, I have been immersed in it all. Hopefully, this will set the mood of a chic, whimsical, yet luxurious sentiment and provide you with some gorgeously creative ideas of your own. Take a look at what I've been inspired by lately, down below.

A BOOK HAUL 2015

September 17, 2015

Push aside Summer, Fall has finally arrived and of course you must know what that means - pumpkin spiced lattes, fashion week, gloomy weather, and layers upon layers of your favourite sweaters and fluffy socks. Fall is by far my favourite time of the year, when the leaves turn from ravishing shades of emerald, jade and fern to crisp auburn and burnt orange; it's almost as if I'm coming home and what better way to start off Autumn with a book haul. Grab yourself a hot drink, and let's begin.

YARDLEY ENGLISH ROSE BODY FRAGRANCE

August 21, 2015

I'm not fond of girly smells; over dramatic top notes of floral scent. I much prefer musky, dark, masculine fragrances, and I highly favour browsing in the Men's selection of cologne. I had been searching for a quick pick me up body spray. A little something that would be great for travelling or an on the go product, and different from the typical eau de toilette or parfum. ( I'm far too frightened to be carrying a perfume bottle in my bag. If that shit spills, you're left with a stinking mess ). Most body sprays on the market are either extremely bland or simply a product that you wouldn't consider or opt for, but the Yardley English Rose might have just changed my mind.

TAKING A HOBBY TO INSTAGRAM

August 06, 2015

When I started this blog I was debating whether or not I would entirely base my webpage around Interior Design. As soon as I step into a homeware store or the interior section of a shop, I'm sent into a blissful frenzy. I become truly lost within the patterns, colours, fabrics, and textures. My admiration for colour schemes and home styling has very much grown, and that is why I have decided to take a hobby just a little bit further.

DR. ORGANIC SNAIL GEL MOISTURE MASK: REVIEW

July 20, 2015

A while back I had posted a small haul on the products I had purchased from the Dr. Organic range (you can read the post here). The Snail Gel mask being the most unusual product and one that I had never tried before or had heard of, was something I had promised everyone that I would review, so without further ado, here it is!

JULY WISHLIST 2015

July 03, 2015

It has been SO outrageously hot this week in London, a splintering heat wave that has left me stuck indoors sitting by a fan with iced water, reading a Murakami novel. I was so pleased when it began to cool down yesterday from Wednesday's episode of unbearability I've always been an Autumn/Winter devotee, and when Summer arises I'm constantly able to prove my devotion. Nevertheless, Summer calls for a wish list with some items I'd like to find in my wardrobe.

LIEBSTER AWARD 2015

June 21, 2015

Tuesday morning I had woken up to see that I had been nominated for the Liebster Award. When I had first began blogging (which was not long ago at all), I had spotted the award floating around, but never investigated fully to see what it was. Liebster translated from German to English means dear, dearest, darling, beloved, sweetheart etc, and the award itself is used to discover and interact with more blogs, as well as learn about the blogger who has been awarded. Thank you very much Emily from emilytrinh.com for nominating me!

NEW IN: H&M SCARF

June 11, 2015

I constantly find myself torn between maintaining a minimalistic style, a wardrobe filled with tones of whites, blacks and greys or clashing pattern and colour. I try to opt between the both and when I came across this floral scarf, I became indecisive but decided to buy it anyway! ( Being a woman during a shopping trip can be so stressful sometimes. I'm definitely joking. I think ).

MONDAY MOTIVATION

June 01, 2015

Competition and comparison; it's hard to remain calm when life can be so frequently demanding. Not to mention the on-going buzz of technology, social media, education, and work life. Isn't it time we took a rest, just for a teensy bit?

DR. ORGANIC HAUL AND BEAUTY PRODUCT AWARENESS

May 17, 2015

I wholeheartedly believe in organic and natural produce, especially when it narrows down to beauty and skincare. A few months ago, I went on a hunt, reading articles about homemade face masks and scrubs using 100% natural ingredients, kind to the skin, oils, aromas, shaving creams, body butters, and more. Whilst searching through the internet I had also come across a particular article informing readers about the harmful and synthetic chemicals found in our beauty products, which is a topic that I strongly believe is not being discussed enough.

APRIL 2015 PLAYLIST

April 06, 2015

It's frightening to think how far into the year we've already come, with Spring finally arriving and Easter finishing, it'll be December again before we know it. Here are ten songs to get you through this month! I have included a song bar at the bottom of my blog until the end of April, so you are able to listen from there, I also have a list of the songs below if you'd prefer to search them online.

NYFW F/W 2015 FAVOURITE LOOKS FT. MICHAEL KORS, TOME + REBECCA MINKOFF

March 11, 2015

NYFW took me by surprise. I usually rank NYFW as the least interesting, oops. But from Prabal Gurung, and DKNY, to Jason Wu (also some of my favourites this season), I was utterly baffled.

BENEFIT ROLLER LASH MASCARA: REVIEW

February 28, 2015

At the beginning of the month I had bought myself an Elle, I thought this would make a nice change to the occasional Harper's Bazaar or Vogue. This issue included a sample size of Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara which everyone has been discussing recently! I usually cringe when beauty samples are packed with magazines, reminiscing back to my younger days when an 8 year old Katria would pick up a Mizz that would be sold with cheap make-up products. After trying the Estée Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme, which had been distributed with the Harper's Bazaar December 2014 issue (now my favourite mascara), I couldn't resit giving it another shot and proceeding to try another sample from another magazine.

♡ VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT GUIDE 2015 ♡

February 11, 2015

Last year I had created a quick gift guide, and with Valentine's Day coming up I thought I would make another! Love should be remembered all year round, not only on St Valentine's, but who doesn't adore a little extra romance? This guide will hopefully give you a few ideas when buying gifts, especially now that there are only 2 days left!

WEEKLY INSPIRATION: FRESH & SIMPLE

February 08, 2015

Although my blog is still under construction, I decided that I would post a selection of images found on my tumblr (you can follow me here), for inspiration. I have been captivated by open spaces, effortless outfits, and chic attire for a very long time now. Simplicity is an aesthetic to live by, it's oddly extravagant and can be portrayed through many manners.

DUNHILL FALL/WINTER 2015 MENSWEAR: REVIEW

January 18, 2015

Drooling over Dunhill, head designer John Ray delivered his first collection for the luxury British goods brand Alfred Dunhill, with the inspiration of the late 1950s and 60s, combining vintage and contemporary aspects to define his main source of muse: Francis Bacon, and his colour palette. Earthy tones were seen across the F/W collection, fabrics exclusively developed by British mills to produce a series of classic menswear patterns, cut to provide the wearer with an ease of movement.
